The highest lift reaches approximately 2,322 metres (7,620 feet) above sea level offering unparalleled views of the surrounding landscape. 500 hectares Spread across 500 hectares of pristine volcanic terrain, Tūroa ski area boasts a diverse landscape that caters to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned veterans. 722 metres Riders are treated to a breathtaking vertical descent of 722 meters, providing thrilling runs and unforgettable vistas. June to October Tūroa typically receives significant snowfall during the winter season, which generally runs from June to October. The precise amount of snowfall can vary from year to year but often achieves a base of 2.5m plus.

    Terms & conditions T&Cs for All Products 2025 Season Duration The projected operational period, or ‘season’, of Tūroa Ski Area is June - October 2025. All passes and products purchased expire on the closing date or before if the closing date changes. Operational dates are subject to weather and snow conditions, and no warranty is offered for late openings, early closures, or lift closures during the season. This includes the closure of specific lifts on any operational day. Liability Pure Tūroa is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of the Pass, including losses due to adverse conditions, routine maintenance, force majeure, or unforeseen circumstances. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amounts paid for goods or services related to the claim. Pass Validity Products purchased (except three-year season passes) expire the year in which they are valid. Products cannot be transferred to the following year. Prices include GST and are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD), subject to change without notice. A card processing fee applies to credit card purchases. Pure Tūroa reserves the right to cancel orders with incorrect pricing or information, issuing refunds where applicable. Cash transactions are not accepted. Use of Facilities Activities in licensed premises must adhere to the scope of the licence. Bring Your Own (BYO) is not allowed at any of our hospitality venues. picnic areas will be clearly marked. Consumption of BYO alcohol is prohibited in all areas. Environmental Responsibility All pass holders should respect the Tongariro National Park, adhering to a ‘pack in – pack out’ policy for litter. Refund and Credit Policy Refunds or credits are at the discretion of Pure Tūroa and subject to processing fees. All credits or refunds are final as of October 31 for the winter season in which the product was purchased. Season and Day Passes 2025 Pass holders use the resort at their own risk and must recognize the associated hazards. While Pure Tūroa will to the best of their ability try to identify and mitigate hazardous circumstances, the alpine environment is constantly changing and pass holders must recognise the associated risks of mountain use. Pass holders accept the risk of personal injury and property loss or damage that may result from use of this facility including but not limited to access road, car parks and base area, chair lifts, in-bound terrain and out-of-bounds terrain. Passes are valid for the proposed season dates; extensions may incur additional charges. Season pass benefits apply to purchased passes only. Benefits may be updated at any time. Multi year pass benefits reflect the current seasons benefits. Lift users must have a valid pass and carry it at all times, including while in a Snow School lesson or accompanying children. Any person who uses or attempts to use a lift (including the magic carpet) without a valid pass and without reasonable excuse will be required to pay for a day pass and may face prosecution and/or a trespass notice. Passes are non-transferable and can only be used by the named pass holder. A lost/forgotten pass can be replaced at guest services, charges may apply. Any passes which may have applicable upgrades need to be transacted at Guest Services. Day passes and rental equipment which have been activated cannot be reused on a different day or refunded due to lift closure during the operational day. Passes purchased for specific days or consecutive days can only be used within the specified time frames. Pure Tūroa reserves the right to review any passes being used by parties for commercial purposes. Fraudulent use of your pass or knowingly accessing lifts without a pass will result in confiscation of any pass involved and prosecution of all parties involved. Both parties may also be trespassed from Pure Tūroa facilities for two years, and any trespass takes effect across all commercial ski areas in New Zealand (SAANZ affiliated members). All personal information must be accurate and will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. Photo identification may be required for pass issuance and updates. Pass warranties are available at time of pass purchase only. The warranty covers injury/illness preventing the user from skiing and snowboarding, pregnancy or moving overseas/to the South Island for work meaning that the pass will not be used. Proof (including a Doctor certificate if applicable) is required to support all of the above and cases are assessed individually. Refund amount will be determined according to days used and when during the season the warranty is applied for. Admin fees apply. 3 year Season passes are valid 2024 - 2026 only. Benefits will fall in line with those of the current season. Pass insurance is not valid on 3 year Season Passes. Bring a buddy Wednesday rules: Season pass holder must be present. Valid for purchased passes only. One free pass per pass holder per Wednesday. Youths can bring other youths adults can bring either youths or other adults. Passes are only valid for Wednesdays outside of the school holidays. Any breach of the Terms and Conditions relating to the use of the pass by the user may result in the withdrawal of the pass and all associated privileges. Pass holders must conduct themselves responsibly, following signage, staff instructions and follow the Tūroa snow code code. Misconduct may result in pass suspension or cancellation without refund. All users must adhere to road rules when driving on Ohakune Mountain road, with violations potentially leading to pass cancellation and legal action. Anti-social or abusive behaviour toward staff, whether in person or on online platforms, will not be tolerated. Age Definitions Season Passes: Ages are taken as of June 1, 2025, except for 75+ and 5 and under, which are based on the time of purchase. Day Passes and Rentals: Ages are determined on the purchase date. Youth: 6-16 years; Adult: 17+; Senior: 65-74 years. Photo ID may be required. Students must be 17+yrs enrolled full time (minimum 32 weeks in a calendar year) with a New Zealand or Australian tertiary institution. Proof of current enrolment required. Children 5 and under and seniors 75+ ski free but require a validated pass for lift access Additional Regulations Due to NZ Civil Aviation laws and DOC regulations drones are not permitted in the National Park. Violations may result in prosecution and a two-year trespass from all SAANZ-affiliated areas. Pass holders must not carry children in frontpacks or backpacks while skiing or using lifts. Platinum season Passes Platinum Pass parking zones are designated for the exclusive use of the two named cardholders. One parking spot per day per platinum card, not per person. Fraudulent use of Platinum Passes may lead to the cancellation of both Platinum and season passes for all parties involved. Photo ID and a season pass are necessary for parking area access. Platinum pass holders must comply with all road closures, notifications, and staff instructions; failure to do so may result in pass termination without refund. This document sets out key information and you should read it thoroughly. If you do not understand anything in this document, you should seek independent advice. The initial unpaid balance is the figure reflecting the total amount payable as disclosed during the transaction process. If the initial payment is not paid you are NOT eligible for the Instalment Option Plan. The Initial Unpaid balance is also referred to as the Instalment Balance due. At any stage of the payment plan, the customer has the ability to pay the total outstanding balance due (including full prepayment).Please note that a credit card surcharge of 2.5% may apply to your instalment payments. A credit card surcharge of 3% may apply to payments that do not use the Pure Tūroa Instalment plan. TOTAL ADVANCES: This is the total amount of all advances made or to be made to you. 100% of product(s) chosen Less: initial payment PAYMENTS REQUIRED: You are required to make each payment of the amount specified and by the time specified. Payment plans are not interchangeable. By selecting to make payment on the Pure Tūroa Ltd Instalment option, the customer hereby agrees to Pure Tūroa Limited automatically charging the customer's credit card as supplied, with the % amount of the product purchased as specified on the payment dates listed below. If your payment is unsuccessful, we will attempt to reprocess it the following business day. Interest-free period: Interest is not charged on this contract. Please see "what could happen if you fail to meet your commitments" below. CREDIT FEES AND CHARGES: Outside of a credit card surcharge, no additional credit fee is payable under this contract. Pure Tūroa is not responsible for the failure of the customer to make payment on the due date for any reason. Statement of right to cancel: Pure Tūroa gives you a right for a short time after the terms of this contract have been disclosed to you to cancel the contract. How to cancel: If you want to cancel this contract you must give written notice to Pure Tūroa. Time limits for cancellation: If the disclosure documents are handed to you directly you must give notice that you intend to cancel within 3 working days after you receive the documents. If the disclosure documents are sent to you by electronic means (for example, email) you must give notice that you intend to cancel within 5 working days after the electronic communication is sent. If the documents are mailed to you, you must give notice within 7 working days after they were posted. Saturdays, Sundays, and national public holidays are not counted as working days. What you may have to pay if you cancel: If you cancel the contract Pure Tūroa can charge you the full price of the passes applicable at the time that payment is finally made or cancel the pass and hold any amounts paid as a cancellation fee. This statement only contains a summary of your rights and obligations in connection with the right to cancel and refers to the cancellation of the pass and the recovery of reasonable expenses by Pure Tūroa. If there is anything about your rights or obligations that you do not understand, if there is a dispute about your rights, or if you think that Pure Tūroa is being unreasonable in any way, you should seek legal advice immediately. CHANGES ON GROUNDS OF UNFORESEEN HARDSHIP: If you are unable reasonably, because of illness, injury, loss of employment, the end of a relationship, or other reasonable cause, to meet your obligations under your contract with Pure Tūroa, please contact us. A request for a change in terms must be given in writing to Pure Tūroa specifying the reasonable cause that the payment cannot be made and outlining the requested change. The change might be extending the length of the contract and reducing the amount of each payment or postponing a payment (s) for a specified period. The requested change must be fair and reasonable to both the you and Pure Tūroa in all circumstances. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS: All passes and products are considered non-refundable and non-transferable unless specified elsewhere in our terms and conditions. Please see our full terms and conditions. Season Pass products will not be refundable (monetary or credit) under any circumstances unless Pass Insurance has been purchased. Pass Insurance Cover: Pass protection is your injury/medical cover and provides for a full or partial refund of the season pass where an injury, medical condition or pregnancy precludes season pass use throughout the entire season. ENVIRONMENTAl A Smaller Footprint A continuous program to reduce infrastructure impact on the maunga. We commit to work with iwi, government and environmental experts to expedite the removal of redundant ski structures. Our goal is to reduce the total ski lift ground footprint by 40% within 10 years. This through the selective removal and upgrading of structures and implementation of new and more efficient technology. To Tread Lightly No more overcrowding and a higher value experience for our guests. Our goal is to reduce peak skier numbers lowering impact on roading, parking areas, pathways, and ski infrastructure loadings. We aspire to a highly efficient, lean and environmentally-focussed operation with reduced vehicle movements and a less active coverage area. A Changing Climate Investment in upgrading the base area to offer new and better year-round controlled experiences for sightseers. Investment in a state-of-the-art ‘snow factory’ machine located at the base area to produce snow in all conditions.     Frequently asked questions Can I load my new season pass on my RAL card? Is my RAL profile linked to Pure Tūroa? No. You will need to purchase a new card to load your Tūroa season pass. Whats new? Freddies bar upstairs at the Alpine, come check it out! Where is Tūroa HQ, the Ohakune town office? The address is (Bottom Of Mountain Road,Ohakune) 194 Mangawhero Terrace, Ohakune 4625. Here, you can purchase tickets, ask questions, return rentals and shop our amazing selection of merchandise and gifts. Oerating hours of: Monday to Thursday: 7:30 - 5 PM Friday: 7:30 - 9:00 PM Saturday / Sunday: 7:00 - 5:00 PM How do the age brackets work? For all season passes (excluding 75+) ages are taken as of April 1, 2024. 75+ age is at time of purchase. For day lift passes, rental and Snow School products, ages are taken on the day of purchase. For all season passes, day passes and other products Youth is 6 - 16. Adult is 17+ and Senior is 65–74yrs of age. Photo ID may be required. 5 and under and 75 and over ski free of charge and require a validated pass to ride the lifts. Photographic ID will be required for 75+ at time of purchase. When you do collect, make sure to have your phone brightness turned up and then scan from under the screen. What lifts will be running? These lifts will all be operating as soon as conditions allow. Under 13s are required to wear helmets in Snow school lessons, everyone else is advised to. Helmets are available for rent or purchase on the mountain. What can we do if we don't ski or snowboard? We have Sledding & Sightseeing options as well as delicious cafe offerings. Sledding is based in the Wintgergarden, and tickets can be purchased from guest services or retail. The price will include 1 hour of sledding and 1x sled. Please note to access our sledding area you will need to purchase a sightseeing pass. For sightseeing you can access the Parklane chair lift up to the Snowflake Cafe. While up there you will have access to a cafe, toilets, and snow play. The price is for a round trip My child can’t ski, can I still take them with me in a backpack? For safety reasons, we don’t allow children to be carried in packs or sit on the front of Snowboards so you won’t be able to access any lifts like this. We can take children from any age in a private lesson and also have sledding available which is fun for the whole family. Do you rent clothing? Yes, We offer, Jackets, Pants and Helmets. For hygienic reasons, we do not offer gloves. We do have gloves for sale at our retail store. Do you offer ski and snowboard tuning? Yes, our workshop is located in our rental building. You can purchase all our services for waxing and tuning on the mountain, and even get 25% off if you have a season pass. Is there EV charging at Tūroa? No, the closest is located at the New World car park. Other things I need to know? We are cashless!

Designed for young athletes aged 6-16 who are independent, dedicated, and ready to tackle the slopes at intermediate and advanced levels, this program promises a full season experience of learning, making friends and having fun. Focused on making the most of Tūroa and the amazing free ride terrain, this programme will focus on safety, park skills, scoping free-riding terrain, and advancing technical abilities, with a view to preparing participants for future events and competitions.
